Welcome to St. John. We are located at 701 North 6th Street in Beatrice, Nebraska. Our worship services are on Saturdays at 6:00 pm and Sundays at 9:00 am and 11:15 am (11 am during the summer). The 9:00 am service has been simulcast as "The Voice of St. John" on KWBE 1450AM since 1949.

Our worship is centered on the liturgical calendar, which includes the seasons of Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, and Pentecost. We practice open communion - all baptized and believing Christians are invited to the table to receive the living presence of our Lord. Holy Communion is celebrated weekly at the Chapel Service, on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at the 9:00 am service, and on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at the 11:15 am service.

Our 6:00 pm Saturday Evening Chapel Service is informal and features piano accompaniment to the well-known hymns of the church. The 9:00 am service is "traditional"; follows the liturgy in the Lutheran Book of Worship; and features organ, choirs, and handbell choirs with a variety of instruments. The 11:15 service is a "contemporary" liturgical service led by the St. John Sanctuary Band. Traditional Festival Worship is celebrated on Reformation Sunday, Christmas, and Easter (and special occassions) and usually features organ, brass and percussion, with a variety of choirs.
